Access to clean water is one of the basic human rights and elementary to human dignity and development. Access to water, for many people, is a matter of daily survival and having a safe and reliable water supply can help to break the vicious circle of poverty.

Stockholm Water Prize

The Prize is awarded by SIWI in cooperation with the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and presented by H.M King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, who is the official patron of the Prize.

Stockholm Junior Water Prize

Every year, tens of thousands of students aged 15 to 20 enroll in the competition with bold water project proposals of environmental, scientific, social, or technological significance.
